![]() To help protect against these types of attacks, organizations must make certain that only authorized users and devices have access to the Teams app. Hackers who successfully gain entry to a user's unmanaged device can access corporate content and pose a significant data breach risk for the organization. Users can also be targeted through the Teams mobile app. IT must educate end users about these scams and teach them how to differentiate between a legitimate Teams email notification and one that is fake. Scammers can exploit this function by creating fake emails that appear to be Teams notifications but contain malicious code. However, these emails can be susceptible to phishing attacks. These emails include a link that directs users back to the Teams platform to reply to the missed message, as well as links to install the Teams mobile app. ![]() When users are idle or not actively collaborating in Teams, the platform will generate an email to notify users of any messages they might have missed while they are away from their workstations. Let's examine four top Microsoft Teams security issues and discuss the steps you can take to prevent them. Because Teams maintains data that can encompass videos, text messages and other corporate data, implementing appropriate policies is a must to meet regulatory compliance. But cyber threats like these are only one part of the equation. Teams users can be especially vulnerable as they rely on the platform for messaging, conferencing and collaboration. Bad actors will take aim at any service that allows them to trick employees into either downloading a file or visiting a malicious website.

However, during total solar eclipses, when the Moon blocks the photosphere, the chromosphere can be seen as a red ring around the Sun. The visible light from the chromosphere is often too weak to be seen against the brighter photosphere. Estimated temperatures are at about 7.800 degrees F / 4.320 degrees C. When it comes to the chromosphere, the next layer of the Sun’s atmosphere, it is far cooler. In the center of the big sunspots, temperatures can be as low as 7.300 degrees F / 4.000 degrees C. Sunspots on the photosphere are colder and darker than the surrounding area. In this region, the Sun’s radiation is detected as visible light. The Sun’s photosphere has been estimated to have temperatures at about 10.000 degrees F / 5.500 degrees C. Large bubbles of hot plasma form a soup of ionized atoms and move upward to the photosphere. Temperatures here drop below 3.5 million degrees F / 2 million degrees C. From the core, energy moves to the radiative zone, where it bounces around for up to 1 million years before moving up to the convective zone, the upper layer of the Sun’s interior. This process creates vast amounts of energy, and it radiates outward to the Sun’s surface, atmosphere, and beyond. The process of nuclear fusion occurs when hydrogen atoms are compressed and fused together, creating helium. ![]() Some estimates put the temperatures at 27 million degrees Fahrenheit / 15 million degrees Celsius. The DockStar comes with a one-year subscription to the Pogoplug service if you choose to not renew the subscription when it runs out, you can still keep using the DockStar as a NAS device on your local network, but you'll no longer be able to share files with other users over the Internet and you'll lose the ability to access the DockStar remotely. (If Seagate ever makes the DockStar's SSH password public or someone figures it out, then the DockStar can conceivably be hacked to the same extent as the Pogoplug.)Īnother difference between the DockStar and the Pogoplug is that after the first year of ownership, the DockStar requires a $29.99 yearly subscription fee in order to continue using the DockStar's file sharing and remote access features. FreeAgent Go Tools - Drag-and-Drop Encryption and Decryption found with Seagate Encryption. Seagate, on the other hand, appears to not want DockStar users to muck with the works-you can access the DockStar via SSH shell access, but without the password, you won't be able to get past the login prompt. As such, the Pogoplug is easily modifiable via SSH shell access, where users can add additional functionality to the device, such as adding iTunes server or BitTorrent functionality (unlike other more full-featured NAS devices, the DockStar and Pogoplug lack these features). Under the hood, both the DockStar and the Pogoplug are actually fully-functional Linux-based computers: They are system-on-chip (SoC) device, based on Marvell's SheevaPlug Development Kit. (You could use the USB port in the DockStar's cradle to connect to a drive other than a FreeAgent Go drive, but you'd need to get your hands on a cable or adapter that has a female mini-USB port.) Another major difference between the DockStar and the Pogoplug is that the DockStar has a total of four USB 2.0 ports versus the Pogoplug's single USB 2.0 port. While the Pogoplug is essentially a small white cube, the DockStar is a bit more svelte (3.39x3.351.50), with a cradle on top designed to work exclusively with Seagate's line of FreeAgent Go portable hard drives-in fact, the DockStar looks a lot like the Seagate FreeAgent Go Dock. ![]() The most obvious difference between the Pogoplug and the DockStar is their appearance. So I can’t use my Lightning EarPods with Reason on my Macbook or with Reason on my PC. Why would someone want this? Simple to allow Lightning EarPods to be used with devices without lightning ports (currently only iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches can be used with Lightning EarPods, not even new Mac can). There are crap loads of adapters that go from 3.5mm to lighting, but zero adapters currently that go from lighting to 3.5mm. But the problem lies with the Lightning EarPods themselves. It’s not the fact that it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, the phone comes with an adapter and it comes with Lightning EarPods (EarPods with a lightning connector at the end). So, there’s a major problem with the iPhone 7. Devices can sound different and, if you’ve got people over chilling, checking out your music or maybe even watching you do the mixing / mastering process, they can load up Airfoil Satellite to help you get a more well-rounded idea of how your mix sounds on multiple devices. So fortunately the Airfoil Satellite apps are free. This is a big deal because, if they had gone with a “pay $15 for the Mac / PC client, $15 for the iOS / Android client”, it would mean you couldn’t borrow your friend’s, family or colleague’s devices to hear how your mix sounds on their devices as you would not be able to download the app on their App Store or Google Play account without paying another fee. So the great thing about this is that you only have to pay for the one Airfoil license as the Airfoil Satellite apps are free. Then close the preferences window.Īudition mixes / master for different model devices ASIO drivers are better to use as they have less latency, but DX is the only one that worked for Windows with Airfoil for me (you can always change back to your ASIO driver when not using Airfoil). For Windows users, it seems like only the DX version of your sound card will work. Then open Reason, go to (Windows Edit-Preferences / Mac Reason-Preferences) and click on the Audio tab. For Mac users, select your default sound card. Using Airfoil to stream from Propellerhead Reason to mobile devicesġ First, I recommend closing down Reason if it’s running (making sure to force quit it if you’re on Macs).Ģ Download the trial version Airfoil ( for Windows and for Mac) and install the sucker.ģ Then, on your device you want to hear Reason through (such as an iPhone), download and install Airfoil Satellite ( scroll down this page for the Airfoil Satellite links).Ĥ Open Airfoil on your Reason computer (don’t open Airfoil Satellite). Test this method out with the trial (that’s what I did) as, if it don’t work with the trial, it won’t work with the full version. It can throw audio from Reason to Windows, Mac, AirPlay, Bluetooth speakers, Chromecast, iOS, Android and even goofy little Linux. It’s worth the $29 (but you have to buy a license for either PC’s or Mac’s). I’ve tried many methods and most of them failed but the one that didn’t is Airfoil. Particularly on devices that are brutal to your music, such as mono smartphones and tablets with very little low and mid-range audio capabilities. Simple during the mixing / mastering stage (which you should be doing throughout the creation process), you want to hear what your music will sound like on a variety of devices. I even adjusted my Keyboard Maestro macro for launching Rdio to now launch Airfoil first, wait a couple seconds, and then launch Rdio so that Airfoil can have the slight head start it needs in order to hijack the Rdio audio. Why stream audio from Reason to a mobile device? Even if you’re only using Airfoil to listen to Rdio on your laptop, it’s practically worth it to get a perfect EQ setting anyway. This truly seals the deal for making it perfect companion to Rdio because Rdio does not have any way to adjust EQ. ![]() It certainly has many more use-case scenarios, but this is what I use it for and I am quite happy with it. ![]() But that is where Airfoil comes in.Īirfoil acts like a middleman for my audio and video by taking the audio from any source and send it to any speaker on your network. Therefore, if I am listening to Rdio or Pandora while working in my office, I have to play the music through the laptop speakers. I heard about Airfoil via Twitter one day when I was wishing out loud that I could play the music from my Rdio desktop app through my home stereo which is connected to my Apple TV.īy default, I can only play music in my iTunes library through the Apple TV. ![]() Beginning with the original Generation 1 cartoon, the Decepticon rallying cry has been "Decepticons attack!", as well as "Transform and rise up!" in Transformers: Animated as a play on the Autobots' "Transform and roll out!" rallying cry. It could be that I was doing something wrong, or it could be that there’s not many people actually playing the game. Both the game and the promotional stuff about the game says there is, but for the life of me, I couldn’t find a single person to battle are trade with. I found myself backing out of all of them just to get my bearings on what I was actually doing. Both the color scheme and the fact that menus will pop up on top of menus. Navigating these became a bit of a chore because of how they are displayed. I ran into a good amount of them while running in the field and I couldn’t figure out why I was having these drops since the game is obviously not graphically intensive and I was play on a Series X.Īnother nagging issue I had with the game were the menus. One thing that I couldn’t get behind were the framerate drops. The 8-bit aesthetic really nails the Game Boy Color feel and at times made me think I was actually playing an emulated Game Boy game. It allows players to possibly get the best of both worlds when it comes to stats for a specific monster and can allow players to fine tune their team. You see, in Monster Crown, players can cross breed monsters of different species essentially making a hybrid monster. While there are tons of monsters to fight and form contracts with in the wild, there are even more players can get through breeding. Sure, there are some but it’s not like they’re on every route just waiting for me to walk by.īreeding plays a big part in Monster Crown as well. There’s not as many Tamer fights as one would see in a Pokémon game. To begin, the game feels a bit grindy in the fact that most battles are random encounters. Throw in some rather unbalanced moves like status effects that just melts a health bar, and players will learn they can exploit a lot of battles here. To be honest, it makes the game a bit easy in some aspects because of how the synergy works. Along with that, certain monsters have moves that can give status effects and change up stats.Īnother change is that the Tamer can carry eight monsters with them at a time allowing players to have more customization in battle. Think of it a bit like Bravely Default’s system where the player can give up turns to have a bigger hit on the next turn. Having more bars of the meter filled will allow the next attack to be more powerful. There is a four part meter that fills up with each turn in battle depending on if the player switches out a monster or defends. Sure, there are monsters with specific types that are stronger and weaker to others, but what really stands out is the synergy system. What Monster Crown does is change up the standard formula. The fact that people actually die in this game makes it stand out from Nintendo’s giant IP. Although, I will say that they are going for a more mature setting here. The story is serviceable, but won’t knock anyone’s socks off. Does it make sense? Not really, but watching a giant monster read a scroll and agree to join my team was always funny. Rather than catch monsters, Tamers break out the legal documents and have the monsters sign a contract with them. Leaving the family farm to tame all kinds of monsters as well as getting thrown into a plot with mobsters, and evil leaders for good measure. Monster Crown has players taking on the role of a new Tamer. ![]() Oh, and this was on other platforms, not just on a Nintendo system. So, suffice to say, I was intrigued when I was asked to review Monster Crown, a Pokémon-inspired game set to feel like the old Game Boy games. At least, not many to speak of other than a handful. With only a few exceptions, there hasn’t been many Pokémon style games to come out of the gaming world. Crazy to think that series has been around as long as it has. I’ve been playing Pokémon for years at this point. |
